A very big please.... if you are thinking you want to do January 12th at Paintworks Bristol and have not yet confirmed by some kind of payment please please do this quickly ... i am getting alot of phone calls about this fair . also vitally important to book before your cheque gets ito the Christmas post.
Bath , again due to the way we pay for the Assembly rooms if you are thinking about this one its imperative we know really soon . The ballroom is getting very full , the Octagon likewise , please do not leave this to the last minute to avoid disappointment.
Talking to the staff at Paintworks there jhave been many positive comments about Saturday and dealers clearly enjoyed the experience which is of course really important . We will have music as a background next time.

Lincoln Fair is on the 8th December Saturday . again there are a few stalls going if anyone wants to do this fair . the big Lincoln christmas fair is on at the same time so we will have alot of people in the city. ....

My Grandson.

After all that buisness heres something lovely . Thomas our Grandson ........

Booking our Fairs

We really appreciate everyone who re books the fair on the day . This helps us tremendously , it cuts down postage which is so expensive giving us more money to spend on advertising which is soooooo expensive, coulds iIask any stall holders who read this to try to help us in this way , we as you know take post dated cheques and the whole system is much more organised if we can see who is rebooking at the fair . This again is imperative for venues such as The Assembly Rooms in Bath which require paymnent very early . We would also like to say how delighted we are at the way stall holders present their stock at our fairs , displays have been top notch , so well done everyone. Ashley Hall Fairs have been recieving so many positive comments about the standard of the goods avilable to buy and the pleasant atmosphere which exisits at our fairs.
So on to bristol , we are really looking forward to it . Paintworks have been exemplary in their work ethic ....

Any stall holder taking pics on the day , if you get some interesting ones please send them on to David to post up on the website , it does get hit alot .

Bristol Paintworks 24th November

Our Bristol fair is fully booked with a superb collection of dealers selling a wide variety of textiles and fashion with costume. We are delighted with the response and look forward to a great fair . If you are visiting the fair there is a map on the website in case you do not know Paintworks location.
. The cafe ., Bocca bar is excellent so you can eat well during the fair .
We will be running these fairs every two months so check out future dates before you leave and if you have e mail addressses to leave with us at the desk we will send you all forthcoming event dates.
Our Assembly rooms in Bath fair is well on the way to being a great event as so many dealers have rebooked , this will take place on March 2nd Sunday . The location created a wonderful atmosphere in September and again was very well attended.

Our Fair at Lincoln.

Saturday saw the 3rd fair in the engine shed at Lincoln.Again some wonderful exhibitors as our photos will show later on this week . But again slightly disappointing in trade buyers . Those that did were overwhelmed with what they could buy and went out having bought superbly . The fair was very well supported by the students who kept coming in right until the end . they too went out very pleased , and alot had learned some interesting facts about fashion and vintage. So we go on to the Christmas fair which will be held at the same time as the big Lincoln /christmas market , which attracts alot of people each year .
We welcome any comments regarding the fairs and hope to hear from some of you via our bloggs

Home produce.

We are very lucky to be able to collect eggs each day from our chickens , this is very much jims job,,, We also have alot of lavender bushes and an ample supply of lavendar which is drying in the conservatory,,, smells lovely.....

bee wee

Our dod is called Beatrice and is very very old , infact 16 years and she is a Labrador. She is feeling her age at the moment and is very preciuos to us ... Here she is having a cuddle this morning.... She is oftencalled Bee Wee or Beatie and in times of stress other names but she is a very gentle loving dog....

More of my daft collection of toys........

Our house is full of things ,,, the do Lally rabbits are very important , they sit in their own chair in our sitting room and are not moved,,, old 1930s rabbits with enormous ears. i saw them sticking out of an auction room box and had to have them....The PBs are my other total favs,,, my children think i am quite silly.....PB 1.. Panda Bear was resued from the NES Antiques for Everyone at enormous cost but he was worth it , he has his own knitted suit on... PB2 was again another auction purchase, infact my huband was sent to the auction with the strict instructions not to come home without him ... unfortunately someone else had sent their husband on the same misson,,, so this one cost a really large amount ....

September 18th My favourite things,,,,,,,,

I love old blankets and have a good collection of Edwardian to 1940s utility marked blankets... ofteni watch tele with our cat doris and a blanket,,,, very comfy...The quilts are Afro American quilt made in the 40s and 50s in the states with old suiting and are often called memory quilts......
